Ian M. Clark
Ian M. Clark was born in Waterville, Maine in 1973.
He grew up in Smithfield, Maine and graduated from
Skowhegan High School in 1991.

Ian began his college career at the University of Maine
before moving to Tennessee to attend Tennessee
Technological University in Cookeville. Ian worked on
the student newspaper The Oracle and student
yearbook, serving as sports editor for both
publications. Ian was awarded the National Medal of
Merit by the Society for Collegiate Journalists in 1996
and was a multiple award winner in the SEJC annual
honors.

Ian began to work in the journalism field during his
time at TTU, spending summer break with the Morning
Sentinel in Waterville. Ian joined the Cookeville
newspaper, the Herald-Citizen, as a sports writer in
1995. He later served as sports and entertainment
editor on the Putnam Star in Monterey, TN.

Ian and his wife Amy moved back to New England in
1998, settling in New Hampshire. Ian has been a
sports reporter for New Hampshire's largest daily
paper, The Union Leader, s
ince 1998. Ian covers the
New England Patriots as well as local high school and
college events. Ian was a finalist for New Hampshire
Sports Writer of the Year in 2001
. He has covered
Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston in Feb. of 2004
,
Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville in 2005 and
Super Bowl XLII in Phoenix in 2008
.

Ian began writing Prophecy of Shadows in 1999 and
completed it in 2001. Plains of the Past was written in
2002. Ian's next project will be a compilation of short
stories expected to be published in 200
8 or 2009.

Ian and Amy have been married since 1997 and have
a son named Kaiden (pronounced Ky-Din) who was
born in 2003 and a second son, Kael, who was born
in 2006. They also have three cats and one dog. Ian's
hobbies include playing ice hockey, collecting comic
books, collecting DVDs, painting, playing video
games, and board games.
